Why we are all so excited about our 4th year in Nicaragua?

North Park has a sister church in Nicaragua called Tabernáculo Agua Viva (TAV). Our two churches have been developing a relationship through visits, videos, emails, even Facebook! They pray for us and we pray for them.  The biggest need for both our churches is land on which to build so we can expand our ministries!

In 2011, North Park raised $15,000 for our Nicaragua TAV church.  This money was used to buy an adjoining piece of land.  This added a much needed expansion of their church, meeting critical needs- like a bathroom!  

The highlight of each year is our missions trip to spend one amazing week working side by side with TAV in Tipitapa.  This is an incredible experience for both Nicaraguans and North Americans!  In 2011, we sent 2 teams, one in June and one in July.  Team members scrubbed and painted the church walls, did food distribution, hosted a 3 night crusade, and much more.

In 2012, we plan to send one team of 20 people, which will include both teens and adults.  The team members are so blessed to be able to go, but the trip is much bigger than 20 people. There are several ways you can be a part of these trips without leaving the U.S. or even home for that matter:

• Pray,  Pray,  Pray!  We need your prayers!
• Support a member of the missions team financially– The trip costs $1,500. Many team members are stepping out in faith and asking God to provide the resources they need.
• Watch announcements to find out what items or help is needed in preparing for the trip.
